AVA Student Scholarships
For our upcoming conference “One But Many - Australian Views on Voice”, the AVA is delighted to be offering two AVA Student Scholarships!
The AVA Student Scholarship program offers two fully funded places to support emerging voice professionals attending the AVA Conference in person. Each successful applicant will receive:

Full conference registration (valued at $500, including catered meals and refreshments)

Up to $500 interstate travel allowance — for applicants travelling from outside Brisbane
This is up to $1,000 AUD total support toward conference attendance.
Note: All non-member students who register for the conference also receive a complimentary 12-month AVA student membership.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to current tertiary students with a demonstrated interest in voice and vocal health, including:

Singing and Vocal Performance (e.g., Bachelor of Music)

Medicine (e.g., MBBS, MD)
-
Speech Pathology (e.g., Bachelor of Speech Pathology)
-
Music Education / Teaching (e.g., BEd (Music), MMus)
-
Acting and Performing Arts (e.g., Bachelor of Acting)
-
Related disciplines where a strong connection to voice practice, research, or vocal wellbeing is demonstrated
Applicants must:

Be currently enrolled in a tertiary institution at the time of application

Be able to attend the conference in person

Submit all required documentation by the closing date
Scholarship conditions:

Scholarship is non-transferable
-
Funds cannot be redeemed for cash

Conference attendance is mandatory to receive reimbursement

Recipients must retain receipts for eligible travel expenses
